PT ISTANA KARANG LAUT has developed its own Quality Assurance Manual for the execution of projects and administration of its operations (which is available upon request) which is certified to ISO 9001 by Société Générale de Surveillance, and includes the following processes :

- HR & Administration Process (Supporting)
- IT Process (Support)
- Commercial & Bid Management (Key)
- Design Engineering & Document Control (Key)
- Procurement & Subcontract (Key)
- Fabrication & Construction Management (Key)
- Project Management (Key)
- QA/QC Management (Supporting)
- HSE (Supporting)
- Finance & Accounting (Supporting)
In order to ensure effective and consistent implementation of above process, related Quality Assurance Procedures have been developed in our Company over a number of years to satisfy the demanding needs of the International Oil & Gas industry.
Modifications to these procedures are made if necessary to tailor these to suit the Clients particular in-house requirements.
We anticipate that all these procedures would be used during a project, with the only exception being for the project execution procedure which is prepared and tailored according to our Client's requirements.
Quality Assurance
PT ISTANA KARANG LAUT has its own Quality Assurance Managers individually responsible, and reporting separately to the Operations Director in respect of Operations and Site Constructions.
The Quality Assurance department, currently comprises the following personnel :
- 1 QA/QC Manager - Operation
- 1 QA Engineer / Internal Auditor
- QC Engineers
- Field Inspectors / Material Inspectors / Fabrication Inspectors / Safety Officers
In addition to those personnel employed by PT ISTANA KARANG LAUT we utilize the services of Internationally recognized Inspection companies, whom are in turn certified to ISO 9001, to provide us with external QA Services to audit our overseas suppliers and to inspect materials or equipments manufactured by these companies. Currently companies approved by PT ISTANA KARANG LAUT to provide external QA Services are :
